Trainee Account Executives at this agency are active members of account teams, carrying out media relations’ activities albeit under close supervision. The Trainee Account Executives work as part of the PR team for their clients, they are responsible for managing their own time, ensuring they bill enough hours and in the right services.
As a Trainee Account Executive you will be are expected to learn from your mistakes, complete pieces of work to the best of their ability with good attention to detail.
You will also start to develop the basic PR skills, an understanding of clients’ technology areas and good knowledge of target publications.
Reports to: Account Manager or Senior Account Executive
Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting press releases
- Planning and executing events
- Feature pitching
- Issues development (speculatively pitching ideas, writing media alerts, responding to topical issues in the media)
- Client liaison, client meetings, conference calls
- Article placement
- Case study development
- Profile pitching
- Social media
- Analyst relations
- Speaker programmes
A Trainee Account Executive’s role is divided 55:45 between billable activity (as outlined above) and non billable activities such participation in performance reviews, reading up on technology, publications etc.
It is expected that work will be carried out to a high standard on all accounts, with good attention to detail, and keen willingness to learn and progress.
In order to apply you will have a Bachelor Degree at 2:1 or above.
