PR Account Manager
Location: Hampshire/London/Anywhere
£30,000 pro rata freelance Up to £250 per day
Our client is a specialist PR consultancy that is continuing to grow its client portfolio and has a mix of accounts both in the UK and former Soviet-bloc. They provide advice and international communications support to several organisations in Ukraine and seek to expand this side of the business and into additional former Soviet-bloc countries. Their focus is on assisting democratic political parties and NGOs.
The role:
The job will involve working on set accounts and involvement in business development pitches. We foresee the candidate starting as a contractor working several days a week then moving to become a full-time employee.
Type of work involved:
- Helping devise strategies to reposition clients
- Drafting and selling-in news releases and photo-stories
- Setting up journalist interviews and handling enquiries
- Tracking & penetrating editorial features as well as pitching proactive feature ideas
- Helping write a newsletter
- Providing advice to clients on a wide range of communication issues
- Helping develop pitches for new business
About you:
Ideally you are a graduate with 5 years existing PR experience with excellent written English. You should speak Russian. Knowledge of or fluency in Ukrainian would be an advantage but is not essential. Strong inter-personal skills are a must as is the ability to work to deadlines.
You should be a self-starter; be results focused and comfortable in working in a matrix-management environment. You will be presentable, credible and be able to work with clients at a senior level.

The PR agency is based in Hampshire so if you can commute to the office there is a desk available. If the commute is difficult all facilities will be provided to work from home.
